I’ve been waiting to see Quicksand for decades and last night’s post hardcore revival with Glassjaw and Quicksand granted me that wish. Even the opener, Primitive Weapons, added to the nostalgic moment when they announced that drummer Tucker Rule of Thursday was filling in for the night.

Needless to say, the show was awesome on all fronts, but (and this comes from my own major bias) Quicksand stole the show. While the pit didn’t pick up until Glassjaw took the stage, Quicksand’s set was perfect. The band, which released their third full length album Interiors last year after a 22 year hiatus, played all the fan favorites, but the highlight for me were their new tracks. The entire Interiors album is an amazing feat for a band that has been dormant for so many years. If you haven’t checked it out yet, get on it. Check out the single / video for “Cosmonauts” off the new record below and some photos from the show.
