Conquerors of the Counter World 1

Title: Multiversity The Society of Super-Heroes: Conquerors of the Counter World Issue 1
Publisher: DC Comics
Reviewer: @MetropolisKid
Rating: 5/5

You either love Grant Morrison or you don’t get him at all. I get it. I like him, and I don’t always get him. Multiversity was hinted at before The New 52 reboot, but it was Grant Morrison who is supposed to be the architect of what 52 Earth’s the DCU currenty have. It was he, and Mark Waid, that had slowly started reintroducing other worlds post-Crisis back in 99 so it’s only fitting that he now populate the worlds he hinted at.

This issue doesn’t star any of the characters from the first Multiversity issue, but instead focuses on Earth 20, and it’s counter Earth 40. Doc Fate and his Society of Super-Heroes (or S.O.S.) fight against Parallax and Vandal Savage to protect their world. The comic has a pulp/noir feel to it with characters that jump to life.

I’m a big fan, and can’t wait for the rest of the story.
